Undeniably, a ribbon bow is an element that brings an incomparable luxurious feel to the basic paper carrier bag. At the same time, the ribbon tie brings the front and the back of the bag together and reduces the opening on the top.
Glued Ribbons
This ribbon closure style includes two pieces of ribbon that are permanently attached to the opposite sides of the paper bag. Each piece is glued under the turnover top on the corresponding side.
Typically, each ribbon piece is 35-40 cm long. The ribbon width that we use is 10, 20 or 30 mm.
The commonly used ribbon types are satin and grosgrain. Those two types allow for hot processing of the loose ends to avoid fraying.
Applicable for: Rope Handle Bags, Fabric Ribbon Handle Bags, Paper Ribbon Handle Bags.
Threaded Ribbon
The threaded ribbon closure consists of a single, removable ribbon piece that goes through rounded slots on each side of the bag’s body. Before placing the bag’s contents, you can find the ribbon packed inside the bag or separately in the cargo box.
Typically, each ribbon piece is 50-60 cm long. The ribbon width that we use is 10, 20 or 30 mm.
The commonly used ribbon types are satin and grosgrain. Those two types allow for hot processing of the loose ends to avoid fraying.

The memorable premium detail
The hang tags are paperboard cards that may use the paper bag’s material and offcuts from paper bag production. They can also use a thicker or even two-layer material for a premium look. nPack’s hang tags are made to order. They come in all shapes – rectangular, rounded or custom die-cut. In terms of personalisation, they can be printed or plain. They can be mounted on nPack’s paper bags or packed separately.
Based on their attachment, they can be swing tags or fixed tags.
Swing tags
The swing tags use an additional loop string to hang on. We offer several attachment positions.
On The Handle
Regardless of the handle style, with this swing tag position the string loop goes around the handle and ends with a visible knot. It’s easy for the swing tag to slide along the handle.
The string materials vary between 5 mm satin and grosgrain ribbons, coloured yarn or jute twine.
The length is variable according to clients’ requirements.

On The Bag Body
With the choice of this swing tag position, the string’s knot remains inside the bag and is not visible on the outside. The loop goes through two holes punched in exact positions
The string materials vary between 5 mm satin and grosgrain ribbons, coloured yarn or jute twine.
The holes are punched at distances according to the client’s preference. The string length is variable according to technical requirements.
Applicable for: Rope Handle Bags, Fabric Ribbon Handle Bags, Paper Ribbon Handle Bags, Die-Cut Handle Bags.
On The Turnover Top
When the loop goes around the top of the bag, the string’s knot remains inside the bag and is not visible on the outside. For this swing tag positioning, one hole is punched near the topmost bag crease.
The string materials vary between 5 mm satin and grosgrain ribbons, coloured yarn or jute twine.
The hole is punched at a reasonable distance from the bag’s top. The string length is variable according to technical requirements.

Fixed tags
The fixed tags don’t use an additional string to hang on. They hang straight on the knotted rope or ribbon handle or on the central ribbon closure.
On The Handle
The possible sliding of the fixed tag along the handle is limited by the chosen size of the punched hole or slot on the tag. The tag is immovable when the handle is in use. nPack’s specialists use the exact tooling for the punch according to the handle style and material.
According to the client’s needs, the slots and holes can be larger than the standard and will allow for the tag to slide along the handle.
Among the different handle styles, the glued rope and ribbon handles are not suitable for this fixed tag style.

On The Ribbon Closure
The possible sliding of the fixed tag along the ribbon closure is limited by the chosen size of the punched slot on the tag. It becomes completely immovable when the ribbons are tied. nPack’s specialists use the exact tooling for the punch according to the ribbon width and material.
Typically, this style of fixed tag attachment is used for the glued ribbon closure style and is not easy to use on the threaded ribbon closure style.
This tag attachment is applicable in combination with any rope and ribbon handle attachment.

Exclusive functional elements
Thanks to nPack flexible production, some highly customisable functional elements can be present in each bag’s design. Made from paperboard and plastic, these elements add extra functionality or new printable area.
Contrasting Inlay
Custom bottom inlays are a great solution for those who seek exclusivity. Serving as a bottom reinforcement, these pieces can use materials different from the bag’s body. They can be printed, foil-blocked, or just plain, playing with colour and texture.
All bottom inlays have a thickness of at least 350 g/sq.m. to add to the bag’s strength. They may use stored offcuts from paper bag production.
The print finishes that are used on the paper bag’s body are also suitable for the inlay.

Separator
Typically called bottle separators or dividers, these elements are made from thick paperboard. Separators are made to order, die-cut and creased according to the customer’s requirements.
All separators have a thickness of at least 350 g/sq.m. to add to the bag’s strength. They may use stored offcuts from paper bag production.
These elements can be glued to the bag’s body or they can remain loose to be added after filling the bag with its contents.
Applicable for: Rope Handle Bags, Fabric Ribbon Handle Bags, Paper Ribbon Handle Bags, Die-Cut Handle Bags.
Clear Window
The windows are a specific design element that allows a glimpse inside the bag. They can be closed with a transparent film, but can also exist as an uncovered opening.
The shape of the clear window is unlimited. Its size should correspond to the technological requirements of the specific bag model.
Plastic films can be printed using screen printing.
Applicable for: Rope Handle Bags, Fabric Ribbon Handle Bags, Paper Ribbon Handle Bags, Die-Cut Handle Bags.

Special elements can be added for ease and comfort with heavy loads. Combined handles offer a means to alternate the way of carrying the paper bag. The cushion is another element created by nPack’s team for safety when the die-cut handle is in use.

The cushion is a specially designed foldable element, which is fastened and unfastened using a velcro pair. Its presence blocks the grip hole edge from pressing into the palm.
The handle cushion is made from thick paperboard, shaped and creased according to the handle outline.
The velcro pair remains hidden under the paperboard when the cushion is mounted.
Applicable for: Die-Cut Handle Bags.
Combined Handle
This specific style describes the simultaneous presence of two types of handles on the bag, where one is the die-cut handle and the other is a set of ropes or ribbons.
All styles of rope or ribbon handles are suitable for combining with a die-cut handle.
